Fall is Here II

Fall is here and while our tans fade, our culinary opportunities only rise. Great Harvest has many breads, jams and savory sauces to help you find your way back into the kitchen.

We just mentioned our new assortment of American Spoon Fruit Butters. So many delightful flavors and so many ways to use them. One of our favorites (besides a healthy dollop on some Honey Wheat Bread) is to add them to your favorite marinade. We like to combine a few tablespoons of Cherry Butter, 1/4th cup of white wine, salt and pepper to make a delectable marinade for pork chops or pork loin roast.

Don't forget our savory sauces from Stonewall Kitchen. Combine the Burgundy Marinade with some red wine and you have a fabulous marinade for beef or mushrooms.

Breakfast is Served

It's time to start making some real breakfasts again. Cold cereal may have been okay for the summer, but it's time for a hot breakfast. We have several breads that can be used for French Toast, including Cinnamon Chip, Cinnamon Swirl, Apple Crunch, and Challah. Pick up a recipe for French Toast Casserole the next time you stop in.

Speaking of Challah

We are poised to take your Round Challah orders for the Jewish Holidays. We will offer Round Challah with or without raisins. We will also have Chocolate Babka, Apple Walnut Honey Swirl and Vanilla Almond Swirl. We also have Karen's fantastic local honey, voted Best Dark Honey at the Howard County Fair. Place your orders now!
