Grilling for the Holiday?

If you're planning on firing up the old grill this weekend, make sure you stop by GH for some essentials. We've told you many times that our breads are fantastic on the grill. Take a thick slice of Cheddar Garlic, Asiago Pesto or Popeye Bread, brush it with oil (we have some good ones) and grill it for a couple minutes on each side. It's a great accompaniment to salads, meats and yummy crab cakes. If you're looking for rolls, look no further. Call ahead to have rolls made from your favorite bread. And come EARLY to grab Challah Rolls.

Ahh... Pie
We'd be remiss if we didn't remind you that it's PIEDAY! What a great way to start off an holiday weekend. Grab one of our Sour Cream Fruit Pies and take it to work. You will be the most popular person their today.

There is so much more in store. We hope to see you soon. Your friends at the Great Harvest in Columbia.

Crunchy Yum-Yum

In addition to all the regular offerings of the day, we are making Apple Crunch. You may consider this a fall bread, but we don't care to pigeon-hole our delightful baked goods. Apple Crunch is great on it's own, transformed into French Toast, or as the perfect palate for your favorite nut butter for lunch.

Regular disclaimer about Baker's Special small batches yadda yadda yadda...

Breezy Willow Jams

We have been in partnership with Breezy Willow Farms in Howard County for a couple years now. We supply bread for their C.S.A (community supported agriculture) program. We also get herbs from them that we use in our baking.

This week, we got some Breezy Willow Jams and heavens, are they tasty! We are featuring Blueberry Brandy, Strawberry Champagne, Chocolate Raspberry and Hot Pepper Jam. We will sell them by the jar and use them to make some very interesting treats.

Come in and try them! We hope to see you soon. Your friends at the Great Harvest in Columbia.

Hey May!

Wow! It's already May! We think we have some good things on the menu this month. We think you'll agree. First, we have some amazing Shrimp Salad, homemade by Chef Paul. It has HUGE pieces of shrimp, not those tiny little lame shrimp you find in most Shrimp Salads. You can get it as a sandwich or on a bed of lettuce and tomatoes. It's a bit more than our usual sandwiches but worth every penny.

Sourdough is taking a break this month. Instead we will have Italian Bread. This bread is perfect to slather with some olive oil and throw on the grill. It's also great with that Shrimp Salad we just mentioned.

And if you're looking for something sweet, Babka's are back by popular demand. We'll have Chocolate and Cinnamon.

We don't want to overwhelm you with a long list of goodies. It's best if you just pop on by and see for yourself. We hope to see you soon. Your friends at the Great Harvest in Columbia.
