Message Received

In the pre-dawn hours, our bakers arrive at Great Harvest and begin the work of making the bread and sweets. They first check orders to determine how large a batch of each menu item needs to be prepared. Yesterday, at 4:00 am, there were orders for two loaves of Irish Soda Bread. By the time the bread came out of the oven, we had more orders than bread! Oops!

In response to the amazing demand for Irish Soda Bread, we will continue to make it during the month of May. We will have it again on Wednesday, May 6th. We encourage you to call ahead and have us set a loaf aside for you.

Stay tuned to this space for more information about what May will bring to Great Harvest, and thanks for your enthusiasm for our bread!

Espresso Again

After a brief respite and rehabilitation, we are happy to report that our espresso machine is once again working. The poor over-worked baby had some cosmetic adjustments yesterday and is now fully functional. Come on in and enjoy a delicious Latte, Cappuccino or Mocha today. And we thank you for your patience while it was recovering.

Swirl Day
We got very creative with the swirl breads today and have several varieties for you to choose from, including, Peach Blueberry, Cherry and Cherry Blueberry (AKA Red White and Blue Swirl). This Saturday delicacy will be out of the oven by 10:00 am.

Cinnamon Rolls, Too!
Cinnamon Rolls just came out of the oven and the Cinnamon Swirl Bread isn't far behind. This is exactly the incentive your family needs to get all that spring yard work done.

We hope to see you soon!

All to Good Homes

We want to thank all of you for providing our Honey Bunnies good homes for Easter. We are proud to say that we sent over 550 bunnies to happy homes.

How to Top the Bunnies?
If you're wondering what can possibly top those adorable little bunnies, the answer is CHOCOLATE BABKA! You may remember the Seinfeld episode in which Jerry and friends stopped by a bakery to pick up a babka to take to a brunch. The last chocolate babka was snatched up just before they got to the front of the line. They ended up with a cinnamon babka and were very unhappy. This will not happen to you. Chocolate Babka will be available tomorrow as the Baker's Special. We recommend you call and have us set one aside for you. This delicious treat goes fast.

Need a Savory Treat?
Too many peeps this weekend? We have several savory breads to tantalize your taste buds this week. Today, Tuesday, we have our Onion Dill Rye. This is a great bread to serve your leftover Easter ham and turkey on. On Wednesday, we offer Spinach Feta. We love this with turkey, lettuce, tomato and bacon for a Greek Club. (Come try one for lunch!) Thursday we will have Red Pepper Swiss. Brush this bread with olive oil, wrap it in foil and throw it on the grill. It goes great with grilled chicken. Don't despair. Cheddar Garlic is available of Friday. Serve this up with your favorite soups or a fantastic grilled cheese for an easy Friday dinner. And Saturday we have Pizza Bread. All these savory breads and their sweet companions will be available until the end of April. We hope to see you soon.

Our goal this month is to tempt you and treat you with some of the best treats, sweets and breads that we have to offer. April will "rain" delight to our friends and visitors who are dedicated to providing high quality, whole grain breads to their family. We hope that you will enjoy this menu as much as we have in planning it for you and as we will in making it fresh for you each day.
